Social policy
The path to a Switzerland without poverty
Caritas Switzerland draws attention to the increase of poverty in Switzerland and works to promote a political framework conducive to eliminating poverty. It supports a social system at national and cantonal level that provides better protection for at-risk groups and is more in keeping with contemporary lifestyles
We are actively engaged in the following themes:
- Living wages and working practices
- Better educational opportunities including for people on a low budget
- Good and affordable provisions of supplementary childcare
- Health costs affordable for all households
- Dignified livelihood security for all people in Switzerland
- Sufficient affordable living spaces
