Finally, the Migros magazine regularly features the issue of poverty in Switzerland and thus raises the awareness of its many readers about this controversial topic.

Reinsurance company Partner Reinsurance Europe supports Swiss mountain farming families via its own corporate voluntary service programme, through which its employees can join a family for a day and lend a hand with labour-intensive work. This not only relieves the work burden on mountain farms, but also creates valuable encounters between Reinsurance Europe employees and the families. In addition, Partner Reinsurance Europe provides financial support for the funding of the Caritas Mountain Farmer Volunteer Support Programme (Bergeinsatz): thanks to this programme sponsorship, volunteers, male or female, can be placed for a full week’s assignment within mountain farming families who find themselves in an emergency or other stressful situation, thus providing them with valuable support.
