Aid for Syria
Challenges
More than thirteen million people in Syria alone are dependent on aid for their survival. 5.5 million live as refugees in the neighbouring countries. Their livelihood is in ruins. They need food, clothes, a roof over their heads, and an income. They have to send their children to school. To enable us to continue our emergency aid, we are in urgent need of your support.
Caritas aid
Caritas has provided emergency relief in Syria since the start of the crisis to meet basic needs, so that people’s survival can be assured. It supports people in Homs, Damascus and Aleppo with food and everyday necessities. It also provides help with rents, basic medical care and school attendance. In Jordan, Caritas is providing jobs in the waste disposal sector for 2,500 Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians.
Support in Syria: Emergency aid for Ali and his family

At home, we lived a simple life. But we had everything we needed: a house, enough to eat, a few animals, olives. We lost our beloved son in the war, had to flee and leave behind everything we owned. Now we have nothing.’ Thanks to Caritas, Ali‘s family is able to buy food and warm clothing.
